The barsa is usually a home function with close family, so the decoration has to fit a living room or terrace and still look special in photos. We decorate the palna (cradle) with flowers, balloons or soft drapes, build a backdrop with the baby’s name, and add a small seating area for the mother and baby and a photo corner for the family.

For a bigger gathering in a hall, we scale the same idea up with a full stage, a name reveal and themed balloon work. We set up quietly in the morning, work around the puja timings and clear everything afterwards.
